Description
The small island of Tatihou has many different habitats with seacoast, dunes, rocks. hedges, grassland and the Tatihou gardens. Three hectares of the island have been recognized as an ornithological reserve, protecting and monitoring over 150 different species. Magnificent views especially during sunsets.

Français: La zone est très interressante pour l'observation des oiseaux marins sur le littoral ( milieux sableux, rocheux) et des passereaux ( prairies, plaines, haies, dunes ) car un parc botanique est aussi accessible au coeur de l'île. Il s'agit également d'une zone de passage migratoire, ce qui est d'autant plus intéressant pour l'observation. Vue magnifique surtout lors des couchers de soleil.

Access
The island of Tatihou can be reached from Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue by amphibious boat at high or low tide. You are there in a few minutes. Other option: walk to the island at low tide. Parking is available in Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue. Click on the P in the map for directions.

Pour s'y rendre, un bateau est mis a notre disposition dans la ville d'ou il part ( Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue ). Ce bateau a un coup, une fois sur l'île, on peux repartir quand on le souhaite avant que le derier bateau ne parte. Des logements ( hotels ) sont accessiblent. Un sentier est accessible a pied et pour les personnes a mobilité réduite.
