Station de Lagunage de Rochefort is a wastewater treatment plant with large ponds attracting many anatidae and larids. There is 1 bird hide outside the complex accessible for everybody and there are 2 other bird hides inside the complex where you can watch waders and reedbed passerines, but these are only accessible with a guide. Lovely surrounding meadows for Vepja, Heiðlóa, herons or passerines stopping over.
Station de Lagunage de Rochefort is located south of Rochefort on the river Charente. There is free parking in front of the gates. Press P on the map for directions to the parking spot.
