Description

At Observatoire Ornithologique Françoise Seyvet 218 species of birds have been recorded. Including 70 breeders and a hundred migratory bird species. Also in winter many birds visit the area. Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Vatnalóa, Gjóður, Gunnfálki, Rauðhegri, Bjarthegri, Bláþyrill, Lindastelkur, Dverggoði and Laufglói.

Access

Best is to park in the parking lot of the lakes. Click on the P in the map for directions or coordinates. The observatory is very easily accessible in 5 minutes on foot.
