Description
Marais du Douhet is particularly interesting because it brings together a great diversity of species, sometimes in high density and at all times of the year.
Among the nesting birds are the Stelkur, the Háleggur, the Blæsöngvari, the Hálmsöngvari, the Turnfálki or the Brandönd. During migration, the Þórshani or the Húsaskotta are passing through. In winter, Margæs, Heiðlóa and Vepja are stationed on the site.
All year round shorebirds, ducks, gulls, herons, grebes and many others are present.
