Grand Étang de Satenay attracts several species of ducks in winter. In spring and summer the lake attracts reed breeding birds. Grand Étang de Satenay is one of the rare nesting sites in Côte d'Or for the Brúnheiðir, Blæsöngvari and Rauðhegri.

Grand Étang de Satenay is located 12 km south of Dijon. Press P on the map for directions. Along the lake there is no path for pedestrians or cyclists, you have to observe from the side of the road.
