Description
Etang du Gallardon is a lake located between the river Seine and the town of Verneuil-sur-Seine. Among the more common birds, you will see manyKanadagæs, Hnúðsvanur, Stokkönd, Sefhæna, Bláþyrill and Straumerla year-round.
During the spring, you will be welcomed with Sílaþerna, Landsvala, Bæjasvala, Múrsvölungur and many other singers. During migrations, you will occasionally find shorebirds on the gravel edges of the lake. Most common will be Lindastelkur, Trjástelkur and Vepja. But, if you are lucky, a Lóuþræll or a Stelkur will await you ! Winter is the most interesting season for the site, as many ducks and other laridae are coming there. Among the most common figure the Skeiðönd, Gargönd, Urtönd, Skutulönd, Skúfönd, Stormmáfur and Dverggoði. But, there are yearly reports of much rarer birds ! Flórgoði, Toppönd, loons, Hvinönd have been seen a few times in the last decade.

Access
Etang du Gallardon is located between the town of Verneuil-sur-Seine and the river Seine. From the A13, take the 8th exit and follow the "Verneuil-sur-Seine" signs. You can park in front of the lake, there is a public and free parking lot.
