In my opinion, Etang du Charnier is the best spot for Bláhæna in the Camargue, one time I saw 16 of them. It is also a very nice spot for Dvergþerna, Sandþerna and Sílaþerna. With much luck, you can spot Rindilþvari. It is also a very good spot for Bjarthegri. In the whole area, you can see up to 100 on one day. The Bláhæna likes small branches of reeds, but also sits in reeds or on muddy areas next to some reeds.

Access
Etang du Charnier is located 30 km west of Arles and 50 km east of Montpellier. I would suggest to go by car, because the area is located on a busy road with cars going up to 100km/h. But there are also small parking gapes where you can watch the birds. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot.
