Description
This large pond is home to nice nesting species as Kólfönd, Skutulönd, Skúfönd, Gargönd, Síkjasöngvari, Rauðhegri. In the surrounding bocage, Þyrnisvarri, Trjálævirki,Gráheiðir are also nesting.
In winter, the pond can be hosting Urtönd, Skutulönd, Skúfönd, Rauðhöfðaönd and several vagrants. The place is also really great in times of migration with lots of passerines in the hedgerows and waterfowl on the pond.
