Description
The Handzame Broeken area consists of a extensive agricultural area, being mainly pastures, with scattered trees, bushes and willow tree lanes. The Kreekebeek river flows through the area and is a great spot for waterfowl, like Urtönd, Rauðhöfðaönd and Skeiðönd. The surrounding pastures are good for flocks of Vepja. In winter, these pastures are part of the hunting grounds for Bláheiðir. In winter, area is also good for Álft.
The scattered (willow) trees are great for observing Kattugla and Holudúfa. The scattered bushes and fences are a great spot for breeding species, like Hagaskvetta and Vallskvetta.

The area doesn't have walking tracks, but you can observe the area from the road.
