Description
The Pitztal valley is criss-crossed by a small river where you can make wonderful observations of Fossbúi, Straumerla, Bjargsvala and Lindastelkur. All year round you can see species around the valley like Lambagammur flying over the valley and Hnotbrjótur, Gráspæta, Gullörn and Svartspæta. On top the Pitztaler Glacier you can find species like Urðartítla, Snæspör, Fjallkorpungur and Rjúpa.

Access
The Pitztal is located 70 km southwest of Innsbruck. You can explore the vally by car and the slopes of the forest on foot. In the towns you can park and then watch birds. From the town of Mittelberg you can take the train which goes through the mountain on top of the Pitztal Glacier. From there you can explore the area on foot. Or you can take the lift up to a restaurant.
