North Point is a fantastic spot for migrating waders east from the village of Wells.
A great birdwatching spot on the outskirts of Wells-next-the-Sea. It can be seen well from the trip down the dirt track, with two large scrapes, one on each side of track. Fantastic for migration waders. Former arable land has been flooded here; the resulting pools have become known as North Point and have drawn an impressive range of wader species. Tall, dense hedgerows here also attract Citromsármány.
Travel by car, bicycle, or walk from Wells. Leave Wells on the A149 travelling east. Approx 1 km (½ mile) just as road narrows there is a dirt track on the north side down to the parking area.
