National nature reserve on south shore of Tay estuary. Good for waders, ducks, seabirds and woodland birds, otters and seals.
Tentsmuir Forest National Nature Reserve provides a variety of wildlife. The area has woods, mud and sand estuary, heath and sand dunes. Grey seals float effortlessly on their backs upriver on a rising tide, only their rounded noses showing above water. In September/October waders are varied (up to 13 species though not numerous). jegesréce, Hegyi réce, Pehelyréce, Kerceréce and Fekete réce offshore. Erdei szalonka, sárgafejű királyka and Keresztcsoru in the woods. cigánycsuk, rozsdás csuk, Hantmadár and Réti pityer on the dunes.

Also saw a red squirrel here when I first visited. between the Keresztcsoru and Red Squirrel I saw, absolutely would go back again.
