Description

Ruddon's Point is said to be the best place in Britain to view overwintering Fekete réce, Füstös réce and the rare Pápaszemes réce together. Also wintering here may be Pehelyréce, Kerceréce, Nagy bukó, Vörösnyakú vöcsök, Füles vöcsök, all 3 diver species, Tengeri partfutó and Örvös bukó.

Mezei pacsirta, parti pityer, Csigaforgató, Piroslábú cankó, Parti lile and Kenderike breed here, plus Keresztcsoru, Csíz and sárgafejű királyka in the pines.

As with many east coast sites, rare migrants such as Karvalyposzáta, Vándorfüzike and Kis légykapó may turn up in September.
