Description
Located in the heart of the Somerset Levels and Moors, Greylake is a flat wetland with good paths and reedbed. Thanks to all the water, you can see Bíbic, Piroslábú cankó and Sárszalonka nesting in the spring. Smaller birds such as Foltos nádiposzáta, sárga billegető and Nádi sármány can be heard and seen singing from the trails.
Over winter, vast flocks of ducks and waders, being hunted by birds of prey. Bíbic and Aranylile are sometimes joined by Havasi partfutó, Pajzsoscankó and Nagy goda. Large flocks of Fütyülő réce, Csörgo réce and smaller groups of Kanalas réce, Kendermagos réce and Nyílfarkú réce feed in front of the hides. Vándorsólyom and Barna rétihéja are seen regularly and Kis sólyom and Kékes rétihéja occasionally.

Access
There is a free car park off A361 (Ashcott to Taunton road) well signposted just before entrance. There is a boardwalk which meanders from the car park to the hide and provides disabled access. Said to be wheelchair friendly but never tried.
