Parc Bryn Bach is a country park with lake. Jégmadár nest sites on the island. The area also has a partifecske colony. Mezei pacsirta, Vörös kánya, Búbos vöcsök, Kontyos réce. Occasional rarity, eg búbos réce in 2013. The moors to the south, with footpath access, rise to 450 metres, look for possible cigánycsuk, Hantmadár, Lappantyú, Egerészölyv, Holló, Réti pityer, Kakukk, Vízirigó or hegyi billegető.
From A465 Heads of the Valleys road, take Tredegar turning, then first right on minor road for half a mile. Car park on the left. Click on the P in the map for directions. Buses from Abergavenny or Cardiff. No train station nearby.
