Description

Stone Point offers a good vantage point over the River Colne with species such as Örvös bukó flying in and out of the Estuary. In the bushes and muddy areas you can find cigánycsuk, Nádi sármány and parti pityer during the winter and if you are lucky Hósármány. The saltmarsh and beach are good places to watch Örvös lúd, Fenyérfutó, Sarki partfutó, Havasi partfutó, Parti lile, Piroslábú cankó, Gulipán, Nagy póling, Ezüstlile, Nagy goda and Kis goda at close range during the winter. The area can be busy with visitors so early or late visits can be productive.
