Description

Chimney Meadows is a 300 hectare reserve, partly an NNR. Typical wetland fauna including otter, water vole, dragonflies, Barna rétihéja, all three egret species, Guvat, Nádi sármány, cserregő nádiposzáta, Foltos nádiposzáta, Réti tücsökmadár, Berki poszáta, Gyöngybagoly, Réti fülesbagoly and Kabasólyom. Also cigánycsuk, rozsdás csuk and Citromsármány. Flowers include adders tongue fern, vernal grass, tufted vetch, lady's smock and cowslip.

Access

From Oxford take A420 west, after 18 miles go right towards Bampton, cross Tadpole bridge then right again to Chimney. For boaters, moor up near Shifford Lock.
