On the gravel banks along the Reuss there are billegetőcankó, Vízirigó and hegyi billegető. The following species can be observed in the pastures and meadows: Havasi pityer, Erdei pityer, Hantmadár, Kígyászölyv, Darázsölyv, rozsdás csuk, apáca-fütyülőlúd, Tövisszúró gébics.

The floodplain area is located between the villages of Hospental and Realp. You can explore the area on foot. A circular walk around the area is about 3 km.
