Description
The big uppside with Stavstensudde may not be the amount of waders but how close you get to the birds. From the shelter one can get a very good view.
During migration from mid april to early june, and late july to early october this is a nice site for watching a good variety of shorebirds. For example kőforgató, Apró partfutó, Fenyérfutó, Sarki partfutó, Pajzsoscankó, Sárjáró, Temminck-partfutó, Kis goda and Ezüstlile. Also several pairs of Kis csér are breeding.
Rarities that have been seen here are Széki lile, tibeti lile, Tavi cankó, Sárgalábú cankó and vándorpartfutó.
In winter time islandic Piroslábú cankó and northern Parti lile and sometimes Tengeri partfutó can be seen.

Access
If going by bus, take number 1 from Trelleborg train staion to Trelleborg Drivgarnet and walk. Unfortunately its a quite long walk but the last bit you can walk by the sea.
If going by car follow road E6 and turn S towards Fredshög and Stavstensudde.
