Description
Les Basses d'en Coll is an important wetland reserve with 191 species seen. Winter wildfowl including Cigányréce, Rózsás flamingó, Kék fú, Kanalasgém and Guvat. Gulls including Sárgalábú sirály. Also Vörös gém, Nádirigó, Havasi pityer, Héjasas, Héja and Fakó keselyű. Mediterrán vészmadár (diomedea) and baleári vészmadár offshore. In the fields and trees Fülemüle, Szalakóta, Búbospacsirta and asztrild.

Access
Reserve is a 8 km walk south from Estartit along the beach. By car it's 19 km. From the main road between Palafrugell to Torroella, head east at Mas Carles and look for viewing platform. There are campsites north and south. The beach gets busy so summer visits are not recommended. No buses nearby.
