Description
Garganta del Río Pusa is located close to the village of Santa Ana de Pusa. It does not have more birds than other places in the area, but it is a well-preserved area half an hour by car from the city of Talavera de la Reina. The area is very picturesque due to the shapes that the river has carved into the rocks, the granite geomorphology of the area and the bridge that crosses it. From that bridge other animals can be discovered in the mountains that surround the area, such as roe deer, wild boar and foxes. Among the birds, you can see nocturnal and diurnal birds of prey. Uhu and Héja stand out. It is normal to see numerous birds associated with the forest, such as Gyurgyalag, Szalakóta or Nagy fakopáncs.

Espagnol: Un lugar poco conocido. La pequeña garganta granítica del río Pusa siempre tiene agua y está rodeada de bosque mediterráneo. Las aves acuden a beber y descansar. No es un lugar con más aves que los otros espacios de la zona, pero si es un espacio bien conservado y a media hora en coche de la ciudad de Talavera de la Reina, en el camino entre esta y Cabañeros. El espacio es muy pintoresco por el encajonamiento en forma de garganda que realiza el río, la geomorfología granítica de la zona y el puente que lo cruza. Desde ese puente pueden descubrirse otros animales en los montes que rodean el paraje, como corzos, jabalíes y zorros. Hay rastro de nutria, pero nunca la hemos visto. Entre las aves, se pueden ver rapaces nocturnas y diurnas. Destacan Uhu y Héja. Lo normal es ver numerosos pájaros asociados al bosque, como Gyurgyalag, Szalakóta o Nagy fakopáncs

Access
It is located at the access to Santa Ana de Pusa from the road that connects the town with Talavera de la Reina. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking. From the parking you can explore the area on foot. There is signage that includes a description of flora and fauna. There are trails parallel to the small gorge.
