The Arbayun Gorge is a deep canyon excavated by the Salazar river, 6 km long and 400 m deep with vertical walls.
Foz de Arbayún is a spectacular canyon sculpted by the Salazar River. The gorge is a protected nature reserve and has the largest colony of Fakó keselyű in Navarra, in addition to having other species of birds of prey such as saskeselyű, Dögkeselyű and Szirti sas. It is a spectacular place where species live without much pressure from humans.

Espagnol: La foz de Arbayun se trata de un profundo cañon excabado por el rio Salazar con 6 km de longitud y 400 m de profundidad en paredes verticales. Está declarada reserva Natural por tener la mayor colonia de Fakó keselyű de Navarra, además de contar con otras especias de rapaces como el saskeselyű, Dögkeselyű y Szirti sas. Es un paraje espectacular donde viven especies sin mucha presión del ser humano. Esta reserve natural es una zona especial de protección de aves (ZEPA).
There are several possibilities to visit Foz de Arbayún. From the viewpoint El Mirador de Iso you have a beautiful view over the gorge. The mirador is accessed from the NA-178 from Lumbiar towards Ochagavía. Click on the P in the map for directions to the viewpoint.
To enter the gorge itself you can take a circular walk known as La Canaleta from the town of Usún. This route runs through the interior of the gorge at an intermediate or low altitude and is somewhat closed by vegetation. You can also take a circular route to access several viewpoints at the top of one of the sides of the gorge and you can access from km 1 of the NA 2160 and which ends by accessing the Peñacornota viewpoint. It is a 6.01 km route of easy difficulty and a gradient of 196 m that runs along paths.

Espagnol: Existen varias posibilidades de visitar la zona. Existe un mirador. El Mirador de Iso, desde el que se puede observar la foz y al que se accede desde la NA-178 desde lumbiar dirección Ochagavía.
Para adentrarnos en la foz podemos realizar una caminata de ida y vuelta conocida como la Canaleta desde el pueblo de Usún. Este recorrido trascurre por el interior de la foz a una altura intermedia o baja y está algo cerrada por la vegetación
Se puede realizar una ruta circular a la que acceder a varios miradores de la parte superior de uno de los lados de la foz y al que accederemos desde km 1 de la NA 2160 y que termina accediendo al mirador de Peñacornota. Es un recorrido de 6,01 km de dificultad facil y un desnivel de 196 m que trasncurre por sendas.
