Description
Easy hike of 2 km on a dirt road from the chapel of Ermita de la Pietat to the Bassa de la Ermita pond. Through uninhabited fallow land and well-tended olive groves. This varied landscape is home to many birds. You can hear many birds, such as Sárgarigó, Csicsörke, Fülemüle , Barátposzáta, Zöldike, fekete rigó and Balkáni gerle, and observing birds like Házi veréb, Molnárfecske, Füsti fecske and Búbos banka. Depending on the water level in the pond, which is fed by rain, water birds such as Szárcsa , Tőkés réce and Szürke gém can be spotted.

The Ermita de la Pietat is located north of the village of Ulldecona. There is a large parking lot next to the hermitage. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The parking is the starting point for the hike (2 km one way, 4 km there and back).
