Description
Labudovo Okno is the place where the agricultural plain of Deliblato meets the Danube river near the Romanian - Serbian border. Because of the building of Djerdap Dam, Danube has flooded surrounding Stevan’s Plains (Serbian: Stevanove ravnice) and made perfect habitat for gathering of birds. Here you can see all kinds of waterfowl species, mainly at winter time. Barátréce, Kontyos réce, Kerceréce, Hegyi réce and Füles vöcsök are regular species that gather at winter time. There are also quite many geese that gather here, mainly Nyári lúd and Nagy lilik.
During spring migration there are few species of gulls and terns, some other birds like Búbos banka, Rétisas, Szárcsa, Tőkés réce and Nyílfarkú réce. During fall migration there are many small birds migrating through here, species like Grey-headed Wagtail (thunbergi), Kerti geze, Foltos nádiposzáta, cserregő nádiposzáta and Szürke légykapó. Also there are migrating raptors like Halászsas and Darázsölyv.
