Description

Zambujal is part of the Reserva Natural do Estuário do Sado. The road crosses a tidal arm with mudflats where many waders can be seen. But the road also passes patches of forest, wide fields, wetlands and salt marshes. So a wide variety of birds can be spotted. Among the birds you can encounter are Kanalas réce, Barátréce, Rózsás flamingó, Kis vöcsök, Gólyatöcs, Gulipán, Aranylile, Kis póling, Nagy póling, kőforgató, Havasi partfutó, Sárszalonka, billegetőcankó, Szürke cankó, Piroslábú cankó, Szerecsensirály, Kenti csér, Fehér gólya, Bölömbika, törpegém, üstökösgém, Batla, Kanalasgém, Halászsas, Kuvik, Búbos banka, Jégmadár, Sárgarigó, sivatagi őrgébics, Ibériai kékszarka, Foltos nádiposzáta, Bujkáló poszáta, Napóleon-szövőmadár, asztrild and muskátpinty.
