Description
The Romeiras area is a regular site for the presence of iconic large birds of prey, such as ibériai sas, Szirti sas, and Héjasas, as well as Fakó keselyű and Barátkeselyű. It is also common to observe some species typically associated with steppe areas, like Reznek, feketehasú pusztaityúk, Fehérkarmú vércse, Szalakóta, and also Déli hantmadár and kövi pacsirta. With a constant water presence, it regularly attracts various species of waterfowl, as well as species like Székicsér and Kacagócsér during the breeding season.

Access
The Romeiras site is located near the villages of Alvares, Penilhos and Romeiras. You can reach the area either via the municipal road CM1145, which leads to Alvares, or the municipal road EM509, which provides access to Penilhos and Romeiras. The circular route indicated on the map is about 15 km.
