Description
The Divor reservoir and its surroundings are great for bird watching. Much of the area is underexplored. The main observation point on the north side is the dam, which allows observing the waters of the reservoir. But as this dam is quite busy with sportsmen and fishermen, the disturbance can be high, so the number of birds present is not always high. So it is also good to explore the other side of the reservoir. On the lake and around the margins you can see ducks, grebes, Rózsás flamingó, herons and waders lake billegetőcankó and Szürke cankó.
In the surrounding areas many birds can be seen. For example Sövénysármány, Sordély, pettyes kakukk, Gyurgyalag, Búbos banka, sivatagi őrgébics, kövi pacsirta, Búbospacsirta, Mezei pacsirta, Szuharbújó, Déli geze and Kucsmás poszáta. Also many birds of prey can be seen flying over the area. In summer you have a good chance on Barna kánya, Törpesas and Fakó keselyű. In winter Kékes rétihéja, Vörös kánya and kuhi. All year round you can see Egerészölyv, Barna rétihéja and vörös vércse. Hamvas rétihéja can bee seen mostly in August.
