Description
Buda Stalowska Fishponds is a vast area of mid-forest ponds, wetlands and wet meadows cut by many ditches and canals, draining excess water to the Dąbrówka River. The complex of fish ponds has become a protected area by the European Union. Particularly noteworthy is the relatively large number of species of breeding birds (139 species). Among the birds you can see in the area are Rétisas, Halászsas, Barna rétihéja, Vörös gém, Fekete gólya, Cigányréce, Barkóscinege, Küszvágó csér, Daru, Kis lile, Pajzsoscankó, Kis sárszalonka and Nagy póling.
