Description
You can explore the entire Veines peninsula and also the platform over the sea where several bird species can be observed, including Fekete lumma, Kárókatona, Üstökös kárókatona, Küszvágó csér, Sarki csér and gulls. Some shore birds as Parti lile or Tengeri partfutó can be observed all summer, and Csigaforgató may nest on the beach during summer there. Inland you can spot Aranylile, Pajzsoscankó, Réti fülesbagoly, Rétisas and Gatyás ölyv.
Water birds as Pehelyréce and Örvös bukó and also a diversity of small birds as Kékbegy, Hósármány, Zöldike, kormosfejű cinege, Zsezse and barázdabillegető contribute to the very interesting diversity. In fact all parts of the peninsula are good for birding.

Access
By the main road you acces Veines and you park the car at the begining of the walking trail. Click on the P in the map for directions. You can walk all over the peninsula on the left when you start walking. At some point of the walk up in the mountain you will find an observatory. It is also possible from the end of the peninsula (lighthouse) to spot whales during migration.
