Description
In the spring, Langven is a beautiful nature reserve to visit. The small area has a wide variety of landscape types. A large elongated fen surrounded by a strip of mixed forest and beyond it rough and grazed open fields and more patches of forest. Good place to see and hear Sárgarigó. Other birds that you can see here are Citromsármány, Kerti rozsdafarkú, Erdei pityer, Mezei poszáta, cigánycsuk, Kontyos réce, Kis vöcsök, Kabasólyom, Nagy fakopáncs and Csuszka.

Nederlands: In de lente is het Langven een prachtig natuurgebiedje om te bezoeken. Het kleine gebied heeft een grote verscheidenheid aan landschapstypen. Een groot langwerpig ven met eromheen een strook gemengd bos en daarachter ruige en begraasde open velden en nog meer stukken bos. Goede plek om Sárgarigó te zien en horen. Andere vogels die je hier kunt zien zijn Citromsármány, Kerti rozsdafarkú, Kontyos réce, Kis vöcsök, Kabasólyom, Nagy fakopáncs, Zöld küllo en Csuszka.

Access
At the end of the Riekweg in Escharen is a small parking lot. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking lot. From there you can take a circular walk of 3 km. Or you just take the path up and back along the east side of the Langven, as this section is the most interesting in terms of birdwatching. The route is also accessible by bicycle. Nice to combine a visit to this area with bird watching on the adjacent De Tongelaar estate (also described on Birdingplaces).

Nederlands: Aan het einde van de Riekweg in Escharen is een kleine parkeerplaats. Klik op de P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar de parkeerplaats. Van daaruit kun je een rondwandeling maken van 3 kilometer of alleen de weg langs de oostkant van het Langven heen en terug lopen, omdat dit gedeelte wat betreft vogels kijken het meest interessant is. De route is ook per fiets toegankelijk (en ligt tussen knooppunten 36 en 29). Leuk om een bezoek aan dit gebied te combineren met vogels kijken op het aangrenzende landgoed De Tongelaar (ook beschreven op Birdingplaces).
