Description
Duurswouderheide is a vast heathland (the largest in Friesland), with fens and forest edges. From a small plateau of ten meters high you have a beautiful view over the heathland. Breeders in the immediate vicinity include Csörgo réce, Kontyos réce, Kis vöcsöken Nagy póling. In the autumn and winter months you can see Sárszalonka, Erdei cankó, Réti cankó, Szürke cankó and sometimes Nagy őrgébics. The Vándorsólyom also hunts here. Other birds of prey that occur here are Kabasólyom, Egerészölyv en Darázsölyv . Among the songbirds cigánycsuk, Meggyvágó, Süvöltő, Csíz and Zsezse have been seen. During the breeding season, the Kakukk and sometimes Lappantyú are heard and seen.

Nederlands: Duurswouderheide is een uitgestrekt heideveld (het grootste van Friesland), met vennen en bosranden. Het plateau bestaat uit een plaggenbult van circa tien meter hoog. Daar vanaf heeft men een fraai uitzicht over het heidegebied. In de directe omgeving broeden onder andere Csörgo réce, Kontyos réce, Kis vöcsök en Nagy póling. In de herfst- en wintermaanden zijn onder andere Sárszalonka , Erdei cankó , bosruiter, groenpootruiter en soms Nagy őrgébics te zien. Ook de Vándorsólyom jaagt hier dan. Andere roofvogels die hier voorkomen zijn Kabasólyom, Egerészölyv en Darázsölyv . Van de zangvogels zijn onder andere cigánycsuk, Meggyvágó, Süvöltő, Csíz en Zsezse gesignaleerd. In het broedseizoen wordt vaak de Kakukk en soms Lappantyú gehoord en gezien.
