Varied peat meadow area with 40 hectares of reed bed, willow forest, wet grassands and meadows.
The Bethunepolder is located between the lakes of Maarsseveense and Loosdrechtse Plassen. It is a varied peat meadow area that attracts many birds. Among the birds you may encounter are Pettyes vízicsibe, törpevízicsibe, Kuvik, Gyöngybagoly, Erdei fülesbagoly, Héja, Guvat, Nagy goda, Piroslábú cankó, Böjti réce and Gólyatöcs.

Nederlands: De Bethunepolder ligt ingeklemd tussen de Maarsseveense- en Loosdrechtse Plassen. Het is een gevarieerd veenweidegebied met 40 hectare rietveld, wilgenbos, plas-drasgebieden en weilanden. Vogels die je er kunt tegenkomen zijn onder meer Pettyes vízicsibe, törpevízicsibe, Kuvik, Gyöngybagoly, Erdei fülesbagoly, Héja, Guvat, Nagy goda, Piroslábú cankó, Böjti réce en Gólyatöcs.
Parking is possible along the roads. The area is easy to explore on foot or by bike. Most beautiful parts: Veenkade-Noord, Meeuwenseweg, Middenweg from Landweg westwards, footpath around the Veenderij (reed area).
