Achtereinds Laag is a former agricultural area that has been excavated for development of nature. The area consists of damp heathland and meadows with shallow fens and various pools. Good area for waders in spring and autumn. Birds you can see in the area include Kis vöcsök, Citromsármány, Kabasólyom, partifecske, Erdei pacsirta and Kis lile.

Achtereinds Laag is located between Eindhoven and Valkenswaard. Parking is available at the restaurant Hut van Mie Pils (Leenderweg 1, Waalre). From the parking lot, the area can be reached on foot. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 4 km.
