Description
This reedbed, situated between Mosta and Naxxar, is a lesser known, yet rewarding birdwatching place, if you know when to go. There are a few birds present breeding such as Vízityúk, Berki poszáta, Kucsmás poszáta, Szuharbújó and berki veréb.
On migration you may find multiple species like Szürke gém, Bakcsó, Barna rétihéja, Vadgerle and various passerines. If you're lucky maybe Kis vízicsibe, Vörhenyes fecske, Sárszalonka and Függőcinege.
In winter the pools are at their biggest and a variety of species can also be found such as Vörösbegy, hegyi billegető, Réti pityer, Erdei pinty and Erdei szürkebegy. For the full list of birds see the bird list below.

Access
Take the road to leave Mosta down the hill and when the road makes a bend turn left. Keep driving down the hill until you see a small country road. Park your car on the opposite side of the road and walk down the trail to birdwatch. I suggest exploring the area by foot or with bicycle as the road is narrow and will be hard to drive through with car.
