Description
The channel between the 2 main islands forms a migration bottleneck in early spring, especially for Böjti réce and Cigányréce , as well as Nyílfarkú réce, Kis póling, Nagy goda and various other species. On good days several hundred birds can be seen of various species. The best days for duck migration usually correlate with the March full moon. Find somewhere to watch over the channel with a scope and hope for the best.

Access
Most birders watch from near the ferry terminal at Cirkewwa, which is easily accessible by public transport or by car. Anywhere with a view of the channel is good.
