The Branega stream originates from the confluence of the Rio Bianco and the Rio Laira and is approximately 5 km long.
The Rio Branega connects the river to the calm channel. The area characterized by wetlands and reeds is a refuge for many rails (including Vízityúk, Guvat, Kis vízicsibe and Pettyes vízicsibe) and small ardeids, in particular it is a resting place frequented almost every year by törpegém. With a bit of luck even small, shy passerines such as Kékbegy can be observed peeking out from the dense vegetation.

Rio Branega is located west of the city of Genoa. The area can be accessed using the same parking spaces as the Fascia di Rispetto. The park is accessible by car and by bus. There are two car parks, one at west and one, bigger, at east. Click on a P in the map for directions. There are also 2 near bus stops.
