Description
This WWF Oasis is a valuable testament to past extensive swamps in the low Cornia Valley, which have disappeared as a result of the reclamations. In a flat coastal area, surrounded by industrial plants, the brackish swamp and freshwater swamp of the Bottagone form, together, a true Oasis of biodiversity. It guarantees adequate habitats for many animal and plant species, especially for many species of birds.
Birds that can be seen are Rózsás flamingó, Gólyatöcs, Gulipán, Kanalasgém, Bütykös ásólúd, Fehér gólya, Fekete gólya, Kis kócsag, Halászsas.
