The artificial lake of Monte Pranu was born in 1951 with the construction of the dam bearing the same name, with the damming of the Rio Palmas. Italiano: Il Lago artificiale di Monte Pranu nasce nel 1951 dalla costruzione dell'omonima diga,con lo sbarramento del Rio Palmas. Alla quota di massimo invaso, prevista a m 45,50 s.l.m., il bacino generato dalla diga ha una superficie dello specchio liquido di circa 6,980 km² mentre il suo volume totale è calcolato in 63 milioni di m³. La superficie del bacino imbrifero direttamente sotteso risulta pari a 436 km².
