Description
Of the two Terlago lakes, the northern one is for recreation. The southern lake Biotopo di Terlago is more natural and has varied and abundant birdlife throughout the year. The observable species range from woodland to aquatic to mountain species. The site is easily accessible from Trento and there is a circular route close to the banks. One section is equipped with a walkway and an observation tower. The most interesting bird species that can be observed are the Barna rétihéja (a couple seems to be sedentary), Kígyászölyv, Csörgo réce, Kis kócsag, Bakcsó, Erdei cankó and törpegém. There is a good presence of Zöld küllo and Nagy fakopáncs which nest in the surrounding woods. Inevitable is the Szürke gém.

Italiano: I due Laghi di Terlago sono di origine carsica e si trovano a ridosso dell'omonimo abitato. La presenza di volatili è molto variegata e abbondante durante tutto l'anno. Le specie osservabili spaziano da quelle boschive a quelle acquatiche a quelle montane. Il sito è facilmente raggiungibile da Trento ed è disponibile un percorso ad anello a ridosso delle sponde. Un tratto è fornito di passerella e di torretta di osservazione. Le specie più interessanti che si possono osservare sono il Barna rétihéja (una coppia pare essere stanziale), Kígyászölyv, Csörgo réce, Kis kócsag, Bakcsó, Erdei cankó e törpegém. Buona la presenza di Zöld küllo e Nagy fakopáncs che nidificano nei boschi circostanti. Immancabile l' Szürke gém.

A22 Trento Sud exit, then SS-45 bis towards Riva del Garda, then SP-85 towards Cadine. Click on the P in the map to get directions. From the parking you can make a circular walk around the southern lake of 2 km.
