Description
The KM 19 pool is famous for its Lichtenstein's Sandgrouse that come in to drink at dusk. The pool is also good for ducks, herons and waders. Among the birds that can be seen are Böjti réce, Nyílfarkú réce, Tüskés bíbic, barna halkapó, Álarcos gébics, Rózsás flamingó, Cigányréce, smaragdgyurgyalag, Gólyatöcs, Pajzsoscankó, Szürke cankó, Kanalasgém, vékonycsőrű sirály, Lócsér, Barna rétihéja, Vörös gém, Bakcsó and törpegém. Access
The ponds are located 19 km north of Eilat. Come off Route 90 from the south, drive due east. Passable for all kinds of vehicles. Some parts may be muddy at times.
