Description

Kilberry Bog is a fantastic winter birding area as it has Erdei fülesbagoly, Gyöngybagoly and sometimes Réti fülesbagoly. It has Egerészölyv, Kis sólyom, Karvaly, vörös vércse, Vándorsólyom and Kékes rétihéja. There are Tőkés réce, Csörgo réce, Sárszalonka, Kis sárszalonka, Aranylile, Bíbic, Parti lile and occasionally Erdei cankó. It also has Bütykös hattyú and Énekes hattyú.

Access

You can access Kilberry Bog by car as far as the edge then walk around. There are several laneways which lead to it and cars can be parked at the roadside so long as you don't block access or gateways. Click on the P in the map for directions.

As well as the birds listed earlier, there are a lot of small songbirds like Citromsármány, cigánycsuk, Réti pityer, Mezei pacsirta, Nádi sármány and various finches.
