A small village on the eastern side of the island is the first location for Pálmagerle to breed in Greece, and you can still find them here!
In September 2021, the first breeding pair of Pálmagerle of Greece has been established in the small village of Loutra, on the eastern side of the island. Since then, the population increased and the species has well established itself in the city. You can walk around the village, scan the streets, rooftops and wires for these small doves.
You can park your car at many places around the center of the village and walk around the area. People are already familiar with birders, so don't mind to look around with your binoculars. NOTE: be respectful to people's privacy!
