Description

The heart of NSG Hallerey is the 33 hectare lake whose shoreline is occupied by extensive woodland belts. To the east and west of the shallow lake, the nature reserve mainly comprises grassland often alternating with small-scale structurally rich bushes and deciduous forest stands.

In NSG Hallerey you can observe many waterbirds but also forest birds. Nyári lúd, Kanalas réce, Barátréce, Kis vöcsök, Nagy kócsag, billegetőcankó, Dankasirály, Jégmadár, Barátposzáta, Süvöltő and Héja can be found there. It is worth watching in winter when there are no leaves on the trees. In summer you tend to have poor visibility.
