The Maschsee is a big lake south of the city centre of Hannover. With an area of 78 hectares, it is the largest body of water within Hannover and a popular recreation area. During migration many waterfowl species are possible on the lake.

Access
The Maschsee is located south of the city centre of Hannover. You can park directly on the west bank of the lake. Press P on the map for directions. Bus and tram stops are within walking distance. A 6 km trail runs around the lake. Pedal boats can be rented. In the summer months there are excursion boats on the lake.
