The Leipheimer Moos is a beautiful moorland with wide areas for Barna rétihéja as well as the rare Haris, sárga billegető, Réti tücsökmadár and migratory Réti pityer. In the reed areas north of the border ditch Kékbegy likes to sing, in the cattle pastures cigánycsuk and along the boardwalk circuit (the boardwalk itself is unfortunately closed) Nyaktekercs, Fülemüle, Sárszalonka, Bíbic, Mezei poszáta, Kakukk, Fácán and Fekete harkály can be heard or seen.
Also worth a visit in autumn/winter when there are Kékes rétihéja, Nagy őrgébics, Réti fülesbagoly, Nagy lilik and Daru.

Access
The Leipheimer Moos is located in north of the town of Günzburg. The area is perfect to explore by bike and on foot. You can park your car south of the area at the Herdweg parking area in Leipheim. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking. The Herdweg area provides convenient access to the moor and its hiking trails.
