Description
The Langwieser See is a small lake. The lake itself isn't very good for birding, but sometimes you can spot Jégmadár there. In the reed area about 100 meters east of the lake, in winter you can see for example Nádi sármány and sometimes also Guvat. In summer it's full of cserregő nádiposzáta. West to the lake, there are nice water reservoirs, which in winter often contain Kis sárszalonka (best to spot with a thermal imaging camera), and sometimes Sárszalonka.
South to the reservoirs, there is a smal bush land with Citromsármány, tengelic and in winter often fenyőpinty. In the gardens and trees along the small stream you can find Csíz in winter and Kerti rozsdafarkú and Mezei poszáta in summer. Sometimes you can also hear a Fülemüle here.
Very good are the fields around the whole area. During migration you can see Réti pityer, Énekes nádiposzáta, cigánycsuk (sometimes also staying over winter), Héja, Hantmadár, sárga billegető, kis poszáta and rarely Nyaktekercs, Bíbic and Kékes rétihéja. All year round you will find Kenderike, Mezei pacsirta, Szürke gém and vörös vércse. Sometimes you can also see Fogoly, Karvaly or Vándorsólyom.
