A large area of forest and marsh. Over 100 species can be seen here throughout the seasons.
The Klövensteen and the surrounding marshland Schnakenmoor - Butterbargsmoor are part of one of the biggest conservation areas of Hamburg. The Klövensteen is located in the east of Hamburg, not far from the river Elbe. Birds you can see here include Bíbic, Rétisas and cigánycsuk . The area has an extended road and path network, leading to multiple opportunities to go for a walk, a bike ride or a ride on a horse.
Parking is possible at the near game reserve Wildgehege Klövensteen or the little restaurant Pony-Waldschänke. To get there by train, you may take the S1 from Hamburg to Rissen(S), followed by a 30 minute walk.
