Description
Jröne Meerke (little green sea) is a small park with a pond at the north-western edge of the city of Neuss. It contains the only Western European colony of Sarki lúd. Depending on the season there are also numerous other waterfowl, such as Kontyos réce, Tőkés réce, Kendermagos réce, Kis vöcsök, Kárókatona, Vízityúk or Szárcsa. There are many trees and a small forest in the park that host numerous songbirds, including Énekes rigó, Léprigó, Csuszka, Erdei pinty, tengelic, Zöldike, Vörösbegy, Kék cinege, széncinege and many more. If you want to see the Sarki lúd, you should come in the early morning or before sunset as the geese often go out to the surrounding fields for feeding.
