Description
The Dürbheimer Moos includes open water areas with mud islands, fescue grasslands and sedge bulrushes, reed beds, sedge reeds, cabbage thistle meadows and wetland fallows. Depending on the water levels and time of year, a variety of ducks ( Csörgo réce, Kontyos réce) and waders can be seen. The meadows are good for Fehér gólya. cigánycsuk, Réti tücsökmadár and many Nádi sármány, Citromsármány breed in the smaller bushes and reed beds in the area.
The higher trees along the northern lake are good for thrushes (fekete rigó, Énekes rigó, fenyőrigó, szőlőrigó) and many other small passerines. In spring and autumn Dürbheimer Moos is a Seregély roosting site, with sometimes over a thousand Seregély.

Access
The Dürbheimer Moos is located directly to the west of the village of Dürbheim. Park at the marked area, there is a good parking spot for at least ten cars. Click on the P in the map for directions. Best to walk on foot (or by bicycle) from there. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 3,5 km.
