Description
The typical species of a city can be seen at the Decksteiner Weiher in summer. On the lake Kanadai lúd, Nílusi lúd, Búbos vöcsök and Tőkés réce can be seen. Around the lake you can observe Zöld küllo, tengelic, közép fakopáncs and much more. In winter, however, more rare duck species such as Kontyos réce, Barátréce, Kendermagos réce and with a bit of luck also Cigányréce can be found.

Decksteiner Weiher is easy to reach by bike from Cologne (Köln). You can also get there easily by car. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking. A circular walk around the lake is about 5 km.
